Teamsters Future's Committee Mission Statement: "To empower the next generation of labor through education and action."
The Teamsters Joint Council 32 Futures Committee was founded by Jackson Kerr (Local 320) and Scott Wilkie (Local 638) in 2023 as a response to the need for active involvement of our youngest Teamsters. This initiative also serves to educate and support young people entering the workforce. A committee of 12 rank and file Teamsters from various locals in JC 32, all under 35 years old, meet at the Teamsters Building in Minneapolis (options to join remotely) to plan actions that engage the next generation of Union labor. The Futures Committee holds social gatherings, solidarity events, and spends a minimum of one day a month in a local school teaching students about the Teamsters. If you want to get involved, we would love for you to take a moment and click the "sign up" button. Let's build out the future of Union work together!
